France: day un (1)

Hey welcome to our first blog! This is Hunter writing. It's really hard to write because the French keyboard is wacked out (DAD). We first arrived at the Salt Lake Int. Airport yesterday and we were crossing our fingers for first class. Yay! The front row! What a joyous day. We said our goodbyes knowing that we wouldn't see our parents for a while. Well I don't know about you guys but we had a good time in the plane. Me, Tommy and Dylan watched a few movies on demand and chowed on our ice cream sundaes. We also listened to our iPods. We finally arrived at in Paris and since I was an unaccomanied minor, we ran into a few short delays but everything was cool. Mimi and Bibi, Tommy's grandparents, came to pick us up and we were on our way. When we arrived, we decided to go for a short walk around the village, Cires lés Mello. Tommy was somewhat familiar with the town so he showed us around. We still got a little bit lost but made it back in time to have a short snack of bagettes and pork patté. We then proceeded to watch a short animated film of the popular character Asterix. Again, we walked around town and made our first purchase of small bonbons with our Euros. We walked around some more and found the bakerey and the school. We walked far into a forest path close to home and saw a small fort ruin. We also saw a really old church of the town. We don't know why, but apparently that is the place teenagers like to hang out. When we got back we had a dinner of a sweet green soup, potatoes, more bagettes, ham, cheese, and Orangina. After both meals, we had a quick dessert of Nestlé pudding. Dylan took a short nap and now they are making paper airplanes and sending them to the house across the street. We expect to wake up earlier than usual tommorow morn' because of the jet lag. Don't worry, we took a lot more pictures than the ones we uploaded. So to all my family, friends, and homies, au revior!!

How exciting! I'm sure Clint would have something witty to say about French men, but I'll save you from 'tel humour sans saveur.' Keep the posts coming and have a great time! -Megen
